BIG THANKS to Dr. Susan Savagilo-Jarvis, President Siena Catholic Schools and Kimberly Gardner, who sponsored lunch today in the SCHS Library: Infusino's Fried Chicken, Potato Wedges, Green Beans, Italian Style Tomato Salad and Italian Bread. Dessert was Cake. Everything was delicious. The event was held in the SCHS lower Library.

• Following lunch, Dr. Sue and Kimberly made a presentation on the proposed building project for the south end of SCHS -------------Very, Very, Exciting Project !!! Spread the Word.

Project includes: New Main Entrance, Chapel, Administrative Offices, Elevator, Renovation of Boys Locker Room, New Girls Locker Room and Multi Purpose Room on the 2nd Floor.

Moving the Art Room to the 1st Floor in vacated old Main Office. Overview will be available online - saintcats.org

Yesterday, DA Bears led 28-6 going into the 4th quarter but managed to lose to the Denver Bronco's 31-28 ---Yes, DA Bears Lost !!!

To add insult to injury, his Cubbies were in Baseball's Wild Card run.

In the last two weeks of the season --- the Cubs collapsed and didn't make the Playoffs.

Coach Joe Buneta won 3 WISAA State Basketball Titles at Pius, Joe Chrnelich played at Pius, went on to play at Wisconsin and was drafted by the NY Knicks in 1980, Jim Rehm was soph basketball coach at Pius and coached against CWood's soph Angels in 70's.

Jeff Tarkowski played BBall at Pius XI and is an SCHS Guidance Counselor.

After lunch today, they jumped in their car for the drive straight back to California

He is in a wheelchair and is still at Elizabeth Residence 10441 south Nicholson Road.

Home Game Protocols and Procedures Racine St. Catherine’s Home Game Protocols and Procedures

All tickets must be purchased ahead of time at http://spicket.events/schsangels

  1. Ticket sales will open 1 week prior to each event

  2. Ticket sales close at 2:00pm the day of the event for varsity football games as well as JV2/JV/Varsity boys basketball games. Any individual(s) not purchasing tickets by 2:00pm will not be allowed into the game

  3. Tickets can be printed at home to be scanned at the event or shown in the Ticket Spicket app on cellular devices to be scanned. NO SCREENSHOTS ACCEPTED

  4. Gates/entrance close 30 minutes after the scheduled start time of the varsity event. Anyone not in the game at this time will not be allowed in

  5. Refunds will only be issued for ticket purchases if the event is canceled

  6. No re-entry to the event, once you leave you will not be allowed back in

  7. All middle/elementary school students must be with an adult

  8. Metro Classic Conference passes are still allowed at the gate for Metro Classic Conference games only, no digital ticket required. For Non-Conference Games, Metro Classic Conference passes are not accepted and a digital ticket is required

  9. 6 and under are free, no digital ticket required.

  10. St. Catherine’s students are free with school ID, no digital ticket required. If no ID, a purchased ticket will be required

  11. Siena employees are free with ID, no digital ticket required. If no ID, a purchased ticket will be required

Football (4-1 Metro Classic Conference, 5-2 Overall) In a Metro Classic Conference battle Friday night the Angels traveled to Lake Country Lutheran. Lamont Hamilton got the scoring started in the 1st quarter as Mariano Talamantez found him for a 22 yard TD reception. Hamilton would again find the end zone in the 2nd quarter as he took a run 40 yards for a touchdown. In the 4th quarter Talamantez would throw another touchdown as he found Isaac Cantu for 42 yards on 4th down. Unfortunately in the end it wasn’t enough as Lake Country Lutheran would kick a 30 yard field goal as time expired to defeat the Angels 23-20. Talamantez went 8-17 with 2 passing touchdowns. Imarion Holder led the ground attack with 96 yards rushing. Cantu was the leading receiving with 68 yards. Hamilton had a great game as well as he had 27 yards receiving and 92 yards rushing. Boys Soccer (3-0) Metro Classic Conference, 6-3-1 Overall) Boys soccer did not have any games this week. Their next game is October 2nd against St. Thomas More @ SCORe Girls Volleyball (0-6 Metro Classic Conference, 5-11 Overall) Tuesday night the girls volleyball team hosted Shoreland Lutheran in a Metro Classic Conference matchup. Shoreland Lutheran was a tough team but the Angels put together some very good rallies to keep the game close in the 2nd and 3rd sets but ultimately were defeated by the Pacers 9-25, 20-25, 17-25. Aniyah Price led the team with 4 kills, 3 aces, 1 block and 1 assist. Londyn Pardo added 3 assists, 3 kills, 2 blocks and 1 ace while Katie Winkler had 3 assists and 3 aces. The Angels girls volleyball team traveled to Dominican High School on Thursday night for a Metro Classic Conference girls volleyball matchup. The team started out well, but unfortunately couldn’t find their groove for the entire night and ended up falling to Dominican 15-25, 10-25 and 10-25. Aniyah Price led the team with 4 kills, Kaleah Conley had 2 kills and 2 aces and Londyn Pardo had 3 assists. Boys Volleyball (1-3 Southern Lakes Conference, 2-7 Overall) Thursday night the boys volleyball team hosted Whitefish Bay and Kenosha Bradford in a triangular. Both games the Angels played well and competed throughout. Unfortunately the Angels would fall in both matches as they lost to Whitefish Bay 16-25, 18-25 and lost to Kenosh Bradford 25-23, 22-25, 8-15. Ryan To led the team on the day with 14 assists while Lucas Adams had 11. Caleb Scott led the team with 7 kills and Sam Pitrof had 4. Girls Tennis (1-4 Metro Classic Conference, 2-11-1 Overall) Girls tennis did not have any events this week. Their next event is sub-sectionals at Kenosha Bradford on October 2nd. Girls Golf On Thursday the Angels golf golf team traveled to Brightondale Links to participate in WIAA regionals hosted by Westosha Central. The course was wet from recent rain but that didn’t stop the girls from shooting some of the best golf of the year and ending the season on a high school. Anna Tiedeman led both golfers shooting a 115 while Ella Pollack shot a 121. Cross Country Thursday afternoon the Angel cross country team headed to Johnson Park to participate in the Prairie Invitational. Sean Moore was the lone runner for the Angels and finished in 20th place with a time of 20:49.19 Girls Swim PSC Aquatics did not have any meets this week. Their next meet with be on October 3rd at Elkhorn Upcoming Angel Athletic Events Monday October 2nd
