WE'RE BACK !!!


BiIG THANKS to John Ketarkus and Jack Kelley for sponsoring lunch today. The guys provided 3 types of soup: Veggie, Shank, Chicken Noodle, in addition to warm bread & Herbert Hoover Cookies. Historian John Ketarkus was responsible for the unique offering - based on a 1930 Soup Line.

Gary Schonert provided Birthday Cake and Elizabeth (Benjamin) Horvath provided two 12 pacs of soda—Regular Coke & Diet Coke. Lloyd Tremmel brought 4 bags of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups for a snack.

Proud Recipient of Great Christmas Gift..........

A good Friend of Marty Defatte presented him with a Horlick Letter Jacket for Christmas. Marty played football at Horlick and at the time his parents could not afford to purchase a letter jacket for him. Listed on the jacket is Marty's year of graduation 1961, Name, his #17, and RPD Retired.


In addition, Marty also received a real live goat named "Finn" for sponsorship at Tiny Hooves.

We have a group of kids traveling this summer to Ecuador and are raising funds to help offset the costs for students and their families.   • Dick will be covering the Boys varsity basketball game on Tuesday 1/9 when The Prairie School Hawks host the Racine Lutheran Crusaders in a Metro Classic Conference rivalry.

Home Game Protocols and ProceduresRacine St. Catherine’s Home Game Protocols and Procedures

All tickets must be purchased ahead of time at http://spicket.events/schsangels

  1. Ticket sales will open 1 week prior to each event

  2. Ticket sales close at 2:00pm the day of the event for varsity football games as well as JV2/JV/Varsity boys basketball games. Any individual(s) not purchasing tickets by 2:00pm will not be allowed into the game

  3. Tickets can be printed at home to be scanned at the event or shown in the Ticket Spicket app on cellular devices to be scanned. NO SCREENSHOTS ACCEPTED

  4. Gates/entrance close 30 minutes after the scheduled start time of the varsity event. Anyone not in the game at this time will not be allowed in

  5. Refunds will only be issued for ticket purchases if the event is canceled

  6. No re-entry to the event, once you leave you will not be allowed back in

  7. All middle/elementary school students must be with an adult

  8. Metro Classic Conference passes are still allowed at the gate for Metro Classic Conference games only, no digital ticket required. For Non-Conference Games, Metro Classic Conference passes are not accepted and a digital ticket is required

  9. 6 and under are free, no digital ticket required.

  10. St. Catherine’s students are free with school ID, no digital ticket required. If no ID, a purchased ticket will be required

  11. Siena employees are free with ID, no digital ticket required. If no ID, a purchased ticket will be required

ANGELS..................

Jan 1st - Jan 6th

Girls Basketball (3-11 Overall, 1-5 Metro Classic Conference)

Wednesday night the Angels hosted Kenosha Tremper in a non-conference basketball game. The Angels played well and kept the game close throughout, however in the end they didn’t have enough as they were defeated 64-55. Laila Collier-White led the team with 16 points, Aniyah Price and Kaleah Conley each added 13.

The Angels got back to conference play on Friday night as they hosted the Racine Lutheran Crusaders. The Angels held a strong lead at halftime and extended it during the 2nd half to go on to defeat the Crusaders 73-34. Laila Collier-White led the way with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 7 steals. Emmerson Davidovic added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 steals while Kaleah Conley had 13 points and Aniyah Price had 11.


Boys Basketball (4-7 Overall, 3-2 Metro Classic Conference)

Saturday afternoon the boys basketball team traveled to Racine Lutheran for a Metro Classic Conference matchup. The Angels held a lead at halftime as well as late in the 2nd half, unfortunately, the Crusaders would storm back to defeat the Angels 60-54. Lamont Hamilton led the team with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals. Adreyon Contreras-Ward had 12 points and 7 rebounds and Eddie Vinson had 12 points.


Wrestling

The St. Catherine’s/Lutheran wrestling team traveled to Ozaukee High School for a quad with Ozaukee, Living Word Lutheran and Cedarburg on Wednesday night. The Angels wrestled extremely well as they went 2-1 including victories over Ozaukee (51-24) and Living Word Lutheran (61-18). Going undefeated on the evening were Paige Barbee (3-0, 113 lbs), Mictlan Garcia (3-0, 1 pin, 126 lbs), Sophia Reeser (2-0, 1 pin, 138 lbs, Daire Hankins (3-0, 2 pins, 144 lbs), Luis Rivera (3-0, 165 lbs), and Abner Rincon (2-0, 215 lbs). Also having a good night for the Angels was Nazier Spencer (2-1, 150 lbs), Demacio Trujillo (2-1, 1 pin, 157 lbs), Alberto Rodriguez (2-1, 175 lbs) and Alex Gomez-Garcia (2-1, 1 pin, 190 lbs).

Saturday the Angels wrestling team traveled to Kenosha Bradford. The team had their best day of the year so far and finished 3rd out of 11 teams. Daire Hankins and Demacio Trujillo led the Angels as they both took 1st. Hankins (138 lbs) finished 4-0 with 3 pins and 1 tech fall. Trujillo (150 lbs) finished 5-0 with 4 pins and 1 tech fall. Luis Rivera (157 lbs, 4-1, 3 pins) and London Hadley (215 lbs, 4-1, 4 pins) each earned 2nd place. Alex Gomez-Garcia (175 lbs, 4-1, 3 pins) earned 3rd place. Alberto Rodriguez (165 lbs) earned 5th place going 3-2 with 3 pins. In the girls tournament, Sophia Reeser had a great day as she went 3-2 with 3 pins to finish in 5th place.


Swimming

Swim had no events this week. Their next event is a double dual at Whitewater on January 9th
