Friday evening the girls basketball team traveled to Whitefish Bay to face off against the #1 team in Division 3, the Dominican Knights. The Knights proved why they were ranked number 1 in the state as they held the Angels to only 9 points at halftime. The Angels however made some halftime adjustments and had a much better 2nd half. Unfortunately in the end it wasn’t enough as Dominican beat St. Catherine’s 59-32. Kennedee Clark led the team with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Kaleah Conley, Emmerson Davidovic, London Pardo and Ariana Green each had 4 points.

The gym was full of wrestlers and fans all night long and created a great atmosphere for wrestling. Unfortunately for the Angels the results didn’t end up as hoped. In their first dual against Kenosha St. Joseph the Angels lost 42-30. Alejandro Gomez-Garcia was able to pickup a pinfall victory while Rebekah Beere, Anakin Barbee, Brayden Yocco and Julian Rodriguez received forfeit victories. In their second dual of the night against Shoreland Lutheran, the Angels fell short as they were defeated 59-12. Anakin Barbee and Elijah LaFountain each had pins in the contest. In their last dual of the evening the Angels faced off against Martin Luther. Martin Luther was able to control the match and defeat the Angels 60-24. Alejandro Gomez-Garcia and Alberto Rodriguez were each able to earn pinfall victories while Rebekah Beere and Elijah LaFountain were awarded forfeit victories.
