FYI: Frank D'Acquisto was in Milwaukee and had his car stolen. When the police arrived they asked the make of his car "Frank said it's a KIA - The police officer asked "WHY" ???

Police recovered the car, nothing was stolen from inside. The thief was a 12 year boy.

Benjamin and Wood moved from Table #1 to Table #2 - Benjamin teamed with Bobby Letsch and defeated Bob Letsch/Wood three straight games. Wood was 1 - 6 for the day - Ouch !!!.

On Monday 2/6, DG Sports will be covering the Boys varsity basketball game when the St. Catherine's Angels host the Burlington Demons. Should be a great game!

From John Talos '58...A fine gentleman and a St. Cats grad passed away this week after living almost 18 years with a transplanted hart. There were many painful challenges over the years but he never complained. He was extremely positive and seemed to enjoy each day to the fullest.He was a great husband to his wife Judy and wonderful dad and grandfather.

  • Don Heck in addition to his above health issues - visiting family in Florida - now has Covid and is in the hospital with pneumonia.

  • Tommy Pulda '72 on Wed Jan 18th had two heart vales replaced - doing well.

  • Del Alton's wife dealing with recent stroke.

  • Mary Woitach '59 dealing with chronic knee issues & fell recently at home.

  • George Gordon '57C tripped over laundry at home, has a black eye and contusion over that eye. He's still dealing with Neuropathy, Back issues.

  • Dave & Renee Benjamin's daughter Susan '83 had recent Gall Bladder Surgery

  • Marie Welsh fell on the ice recently and is using a cane - nothing broken.

Girls Basketball Tuesday night the Lady Angels traveled to Shoreland Lutheran for a Metro Classic Conference matchup. The Angels only found themselves down by 5 at halftime, however in the 2nd half they couldn’t keep up with the Pacers as Shoreland Lutheran would extend their lead to go on and win 57-41. Laila Collier-White led the team with 18 points while Londyn Pardo added 9 and Ariana Green had 7. Saturday afternoon the Angels traveled to St. Thomas More for a Metro Classic conference girls basketball game. The Angels had great effort all afternoon long and kept the game close, however in the end foul trouble ended up being too much for the Angels to overcome as they were defeated 77-62. Aniyah Price had another great offensive game as she led all scorers with 22 points.

Boys Basketball The Shoreland Lutheran Pacers traveled to St. Catherine’s for a Metro Classic boys basketball game on Tuesday. The Angels got on the scoreboard early and cruised to a 77-54 victory as 10 of its 12 players scored at least 4 points. Lamont Hamilton led the scoring with 15 points while Davion Thomas-Kumpula and Domonic Pitts each added 13. Friday night in a game with conference implications, the Angels hosted St. Thomas More in a game pitting 2 teams ranked in the top 5 of the state. Early on the game was back and forth but in the 2nd portion of the 1st half the Angels started to pick things up and took a 32-20 lead into halftime. From there, the Angels wouldn’t let their foot off the petal as they defeated the Cavaliers 62-44. Lamont Hamilton led the team with 18 points while Davion Thomas-Kumpula had 15 and Domonic Pitts had 11. After a tough Friday night victory the Angels traveled to The Prairie School to participate in the Wisconsin-Illinois border battle as they faced Batavia (IL). In a back and forth battle the Angels were able to find themselves victorious as they defeated Bativia 46-44. Domonic PItts led the team with 19 points while Lamont Hamilton had 12 points.

Wrestling On Saturday the St. Catherine’s/Lutheran/Catholic Central wrestling team traveled to Shoreland Lutheran to participate in the Metro Classic Conference tournament. Four wrestlers earned all conference honors on the day. At 113 pounds, Anakin Barbee earned 2nd team honors, at 138 pounds Alejandro Gomez-Garcia earned 2nd team honors and at 182 pounds Elijah LaFountain earned 2nd team honors. Taking home high honors on the day was Demacio Trujillo at 145 pounds as he earned 1st team all conference.

Boys Swim Saturday the PSC Aquatics team traveled to Delavan-Darien to participate in the Southern Lakes Conference meet. The team did a fantastic job as they finished 4th place and set 3 new team records. Nathan Breit set two new team records including finishing 1st in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.63 and 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke. Also setting a team record was Timothy Peterson in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.54. Digital Ticketing St. Catherine's has gone to digital ticketing for varsity football, girls volleyball (JV2, JV and varsity), boys volleyball (JV and varsity), girls basketball (JV and varsity), boys basketball (JV2, JV and varsity), wrestling (JV and Varsity) and all WIAA tournament events. See flyer below for more details. Please note that on days of varsity football games and boys basketball (JV2, JV and varsity) ticket sales will end at 2:00pm the day of the event. Anyone without a ticket will not be allowed entrance into the game.
