Angel Athletics -
Football (0-0 Metro Classic Conference, 1-1 Overall)
Friday night at Horlick Field the Angels had their first home game of the season against rival Kenosha St. Joseph. The Angels battled all night long but St. Joseph proved to be too much as they defeated the Angels 34-12. Finding themselves down 13-0 in the 3rd quarter Eddie Vinson would find Lamont Hamilton to cut the lead to 13-6. Unfortunately for the Angels, St. Joseph would answer with a TD run to make the game 20-6. The Angels again battled back in the 4th quarter as they were again able to get within one score as Imarion Holder rushed off the left end to score a touchdown and cut the lead to 20-12. Again though, St. Joseph’s run attack proved to be too much as they would add two more scores in the 4th quarter to end the game 34-12. Eddie Vinson led the passing attack going 9-18 for 151 yards and a touchdown. Holder led the team on the ground as he had 11 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown. Lamont Hamilton was the leading receiver with 5 receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown.
