Softball (15-7 Overall, 7-5 Metro Classic Conference)

Tuesday at Crawford Park the Angels hosted New Berlin West to begin the WIAA tournament series. It was an exciting game that game down to the last out for the Angels, however by scoring 2 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th the Angels would emerge victorious 6-5. Londyn Pardo led the way for the Angels going 3-3 with a home run and an RBI. Aniesa Neave went 2-4 with an RBI, and Anika Munoz went 2-4 while pitching the complete game and only giving up 2 earned runs with 5 strikeouts.

The Angels softball team continued their season on Thursday night as they traveled to New Berlin Eisenhower for a regional final matchup. New Berlin Eisenhower proved why they are looking to make a deep run into the playoffs as they held a great hitting Angels team to only 1 hit and walked away with a 9-0 victory. Aniesa Neave led the team as she had 1 hit for the night.

Baseball (5-16 Overall, 1-11 Metro Classic Conference)

Tuesday the Angels finished off their regular season as they traveled to Martin Luther. Unfortunately they couldn't quite get their bats going as Mauricio Talamantez was able to put the only hit in the books for the Angels, which was a triple. When the final out was recorded the Spartans defeated the Angels 8-0.

On Thursday night the Angels traveled to Delavan-Darien to begin their WIAA tournament series. Unfortunately for the Angels they couldn’t get the bats going as they were defeated 13-0. Mariano Talamantez, Mauricio Talamantez and Nate Callis were able to get 1 hit a piece for the Angels.

Girls Soccer (0-17 Overall, 0-7 Metro Classic Conference)

Monday night the girls soccer team hosted Tenor/Veritas at Pritchard Park. The Angels kept the game close as they were only down 2-0 at halftime. Unfortunately in the 2nd half the Tenor/Veritas offense was too much to handle as they scored 4 goals to defeat the Angels 6-0. In the goalbox Maggie Westfall had an outstanding 26 saves.

Wednesday night the Angels capped off their season as they traveled to Kenosha Bradford to face off against Kenosha St. Joseph. Unfortunately for the Angels, the Lancers offense was strong and the Angels couldn’t find the goal. When the final bell rang, the Lancers defeated the Angels 9-0.

Boys Tennis (0-7 Overall, 0-4 Metro Classic Conference)

Monday the St. Catherine’s/Lutheran tennis team traveled to Mukego for WIAA subsectionals. Unfortunately for the Angels, their season would come to an end as none of the athletes advanced. The doubles team of Albert Holewinski/Dominic Marni led the way winning 2 games.

Boys Golf

Tuesday the St. Catherine’s/Lutheran golf team hosted division 1 golf regionals. The Angels performed very well as they finished in 5th place overall. On top of a good overall team finish, the Angels sent 2 individuals on to sectionals. Maddox Matson shot the round of the year by scoring a 79, which was also good for 2nd overall at regionals. Finn Crawford also shot a great round, shooting a 97 to move on to sectionals as well.
