Softball (13-5 Overall, 6-4 Metro Classic Conference)

Thursday night in a Metro Classic Conference game against Martin Luther, the Angels unfortunately couldn’t get their bats going as they were only able to collect 2 hits. Annika Munoz pitched a great game including recording 5 strikeouts, but the Angels unfortunately fell to the Spartans 4-0. Annika Munoz and Aniesa Neave each had a hit for the Angels.

In a non-conference matchup Friday afternoon, the Angels hosted Delavan-Darien. The Angels bats came alive and erupted for 13 runs as they defeated Delavan-Darien 13-1. Sicilia Lopez led the way for the Angels going 2-2 with 3 RBI’s. Isabel Sanchez added a hit and 2 RBI’s. On the mound Annika Munoz had a great outing as she only allowed 2 hits and struckout 8 batters.

Saturday the Angels traveled to Milwaukee Ronal Reagan for a non-conference game. The Angels got on the board early and wouldn’t look back as they defeated Ronald Reagan 11-1. Londyn Pardo and Annika Munoz led the way for the Angels at the plate as they each had a hit and 2 RBI’s. Aniyah Price added a hit and an RBI and Loretta Ochoa, Cristina Murguia and Emmerson Davidovic each had an RBI. On the mound Annika Munoz recorded 7 strikeouts.

Baseball (3-13 Overall, 1-10 Metro Classic Conference)

Monday night at Horlick Field the Angels hosted Racine Horlick in a non-conference game. The Angels played well all night, but the Rebels would score runs in all but 1 inning to defeat the Angels 13-6. Nate Callis led the way at the plate for the Angels going 1-3 with 3 RBI’s. Devlyn Kellogg went 2-3 with a triple and an RBI and Issac Cantu and Travion Thompson each went 1-4 with an RBI. On the mound Kellogg had 5 strikeouts.

In a conference game Wednesday night the Angels hosted Martin Luther. The team kept the game close going into the 5th inning, however a 6 run outburst by the Spartans bought the game out of the reach and the Angels were defeated 11-0. Issac Cantu and Jonathan Peterson each had a hit for the Angels and Nate Callis had 5 strikeouts on the mound.

The Angels traveled to Henry Aaron Field on Friday for a non-conference game with Milwaukee Riverside. In a non-conference matchup Monday night, the Angels hosted the Salam Stars. Salam jumped out to a 4-0 lead at halftime, however the Angels would score 2 quick goals in the second half by Rebekah Beere and Macieana Trujillo to make it 4-2. Unfortunately thats all the Angels offense could muster up as the game would end 4-2.

The Angels hosted The Prairie School on Wednesday night at Pritchard Park in a conference matchup. The Hawks proved why they are ranked in the top 3 of the state as they defeated the Angels 18-0. Maggie Westfall had 19 saves in the goalbox.

Friday afternoon the St. Catherine’s girls soccer team played Racine Park at Pritchard Park in an intra-city matchup. Racine Park started off quickly and the Angels couldn’t rebound as they were defeated 8-0.
