Feb 24th - Mar 2rd
Boys Basketball (14-12 Overall, 8-6 Metro Classic Conference)
Friday night the boys basketball team began their postseason journey as they hosted Milwaukee North in a regional semifinal game. The Angels found themselves down here, but took a 2 point lead into halftime. In the 2nd half the Blue Devils of Milwaukee North would surge to take a 7 point lead over the Angels. However, the Angels wouldn’t go away as they erased the 7 point lead and would go on to defeat the Blue Devils 66-55. Lamont Hamilton led the way with 17 points, Eddie Vinson had 15, Javion Herron had 13 and Adreyan Contreras-Ward had 11.
The Angels traveled to St. Thomas More on Saturday night for a regional final matchup. The Angels gave everything they had and kept the game close early, however the experience and size of St. Thomas More would prove to be too much for the Angels as the Cavaliers would emerge victorious 73-57. Lamont Hamilton led the Angels with 22 points and Richard Watson added 12.
